A species i've hardly photographed so I was very pleased to get these near my village.

Salthouse Winter Visitors

Had a really great day at Salthouse, North Norfolk today the light was
good and plenty of winter birds to photograph.

These Lapland Bunting are a great species to be able to get close to

and the usually timid Linnet was feeding on the seed put down

but even Teal came in close to feed on it?

and the Snow Bunting posed well as always

The new kid on the block

I couldn't believe my luck with this visitor from the Middle East, he was really tame and allowed for some very close views and great poses.

Had a good day at Titchwell, Norfolk, a great place for bird sightings with common and rarer birds showing well.

Chaffinches where near the picnic area

and the Robins showed really well as usual

this Brambling was busy having a sing

and some Common Redpoll (above) and Siskin (below) made the day really special

Arctic Raider

Had a very surprising day today, a Pomarine Skua had been at Salthouse for a few days so I thought I would try my luck with it. I found him quite early attacking a Common Gull which was unwell near the Iron road leading to the beach. I photographed the whole event, although somewhat gory, but that is what nature is about.

Scarce Birds

None of these birds are rare but all birds seem very scarce today but I managed a few.

This Dabchick was feeding at Cley.

As was this male Stonechat.

Along with a few Goldfinch.

This Redshank made me smile as they don't usually sit on the post until summer.

One of the many Eygptian Geese seen in North Norfolk.

A Stint at Salthouse

Had a great day today the Little Stint are back at Salthouse after spending the Summer in the Arctic. They're very small waders about the size of a Sparrow and very quick also.
