Wondland Wonders

I decided the only way to get really good woodland bird photos was to set up a small feeding station near to where I live. I put some feeders out the week before in a local wood and waited for a week to see what if anything it had attracted, I was pleasantly surprised.

Long Tailed Tits came in small bands to feed on the fat balls

Much to my delight a pair of Nuthatches where feeding on nuts and fat balls

Long Tailed Tits make a great photo

and the Blue Tits performed well

even a Great Spotted Woodpecker had a look

Salthouse and Cley

I went to the Salthouse Cley area of north Norfolk today to catch up
with some winter residents

Finally got to see this American Visitor the White Crowned Sparrow
at Cley in North Norfolk

The Snow Bunting at Salthouse are getting closer to their spring plumage

The Snow Bunting where hovering to find a place to land.

The wind was so strong it was blowing the birds about

Good to see some Dunlin in their winter plumage

Stonechat at Cley

I went out today to see if I could catch up with a Stonechat that I had heard was in the Cley area. I wasn't disappointed as the bird showed up fairly soon. Much to my surprise I could tell it was the same bird I had photographed here two years previous. He performed really well and I got some great shots.
